Summer Solutions for Kids: Yogurt Parfaits

image
Here is a solution that is healthy, easy, and school-aged kids can get it themselves. They can also help you make these in advance.

To make 8 – 1/2 pint jars, you will need:
8 jars with lids (1/2 pint)
1 32-oz tub of vanilla yogurt. (I use plain organic yogurt and add organic honey & vanilla for the flavor and sweetness. 2 tbs. vanilla and 3/4 cup honey.)
4 cups of your favorite fresh fruits cut in bite-sized pieces.
8 tbsp. granola

Fill each jar with 1/2 cup of yogurt, 1/2 cup of fruit, and top with a tbsp. of granola. Seal tightly, and store in the fridge. These are good for about a week, but likely won’t last that long.

They’re so pretty and fun, the kids will think they’re a dessert.
