No place to compost?
You can still get the benefits of composting. Its so easy, you’ll wonder why you haven’t been doing this already.
Many years ago, I lived in a high rise condo and grew tomatoes and herbs in pots on the balcony. I discovered the benefits of compostless composting. It’s easy. It’s free. It’s odorless. Your plants will love it.
While you’re cooking, place your vegetable trash, egg shells, coffee grounds, tea leaves, etc. into a blender, food processor, or a ninja. Put the lid on. When its convenient, add water and liquify.
Now, all you do it pour it on your plant beds. I pull the wood chips away from the dirt in my flower beds or potted plants. Then pour it on and cover with the wood chips. It’s easily disguised, absorbs quickly, and there’s no compost odor!
This method breaks the particles down so they very quickly compost right in the plants root area. Many of the nutrients that plants love are deposited in the water and they get immediate benefits.
You can even “compost” cooked leftover vegetables as long as no salt, butter, or oils have been added.
