Dill-Crab Appetizers- Makes 24


You will need:

A package of Phyllo Dough

Butter flavored cooking spray

Mini-muffin tin

About 1 cup of crabmeat

1 package of cream cheese

1 tsp. fine chopped garlic

1 green onion sliced fine

1/2 red bell pepper julienned

Fresh dill

Start by pre-heating oven to 350f.  In a microwave safe bowl, add cream cheese, garlic, and green onion. Microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring until completely softened and mixed well. Set aside on the counter- do not refrigerate. This allows time for the flavors to open while you prepare the phyllo cups.



To make the phyllo cups:

Spray 5 sheets of phyllo dough with the butter-flavored cooking spray, layer together.


Cut the layered phyllo dough into 12 squares. Don’t worry if they are not perfect, they do not need to be.


Press the squares into the mini-muffin tin cups, leaving the edges poking up.


Bake at 350f until golden brown.  They will look like this:


     Repeat process the make an additional 12 cups, for a total of 24 baked phyllo cups.

      Be sure the cups have cooled completely, then add a rounded teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture to the bottom of the cups.

Divide the crab evenly among the 24 cups and layer on top of the cream cheese in each one.

Add strips of red bell pepper and a spring of fresh dill to each cup.

Voila! You just made a very rich and luscious appetizer and it was sooooo easy!
